May 30th is Water a Flower Day. Most of us are now conserving our natural resources more than ever. At one time, a lot of people used to water their lawns or gardens every couple of days. However, since measures to inform people about the need to cut back on frequent watering of their lawns or gardens, it is not often that you see people doing this.
On this day you should take a look at your flowers and see if they need some watering. Before you give them some water, treat them with some fresh coffee grounds. After your morning coffee, take the used roasted coffee grounds and place them around the area in which the plant stems are coming out of the ground.
After you have done this, take a watering can or a garden hose and give your plants a watering. The coffee grounds will make their way into the soil and add some much needed nutrients to the soil. For those of you who may not know about using coffee grounds on your plants, using the coffee grounds will balance out the PH level of the soil. In other words, it will be a treat for your plants and flowers.
Your flowers will definitely thank you for the watering!
