Things to Do This Father’s Day
******************************************************************************************************************************************************
Day to day life can be busy. We often don’t take time to appreciate the father or father figures in our life. Instead of just buying a few presents and going out to eat, I challenge you to mix it up this year. Thinking of new things to do this Father’s Day will surely turn out to be a big surprise for the Dad in your life.
Here are some fun things to do this Father’s Day
1. Go to a Sports Game: What Dad doesn’t love watching sports? Treat him to tickets to see his favorite team play. Most baseball teams play a game on Father’s Day.
2. Cook a favorite meal: Make bacon eggs and serve it in bed, or grill a medium rare steak with fries for dinner.
3. Enjoy a favorite activity together: Does Dad love to fish? Plan a family fishing trip. Golf addict? Let him enjoy a few rounds with his buddies.
4. Let him veg out: Does Dad complain you always interrupt his “quiet time”? Let him watch tv or curl up with a good book while you take care of the kids.
5. Visit a craft brewery: Want to treat Dad to some relaxation time away from the kids? Visit a local craft brewery to learn more about the brewing process and taste some samples. Some local breweries even allow you to custom make a batch to take home!
6. Go Shopping: Let’s face it men are hard to buy for. While shopping is not usually high on their list of favorite things, when the purchases are for them they’re usually excited to go.
7. Put on a talent show: Have the kids write poems, skits, or songs about their favorite family memories, or how much they love Dad.
Try out some of these things listed this Father’s Day. By changing it up, you can be assured that your father or father figure will be pleasantly surprised.
