Mickey Mouse 4th of July Cookies
These Mickey Mouse 4th of July Cookies are so DISNEY! They are easy to make and yet make a great presentation on the 4th. Serve family and friends these patriotic cookies at parades, family barbecue’s or anywhere you are celebrating this patriotic holiday. They are definitely will please the crowd.

Mickey Mouse 4th of July Cookies
Cookie Ingredients
1 1/2 cups butter, room temp
2 cups white sugar
1 egg, room temp
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Cookie Cutter: Mickey Mouse head
Icing Ingredients:
2 egg whites
1 cup powder sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Black, red, and blue gel color.
Sugar Cookie Directions:
In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
Add in the eggs and vanilla. Beat them after each addition.
In another bowl, add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir to mix together,
Mix the ingredients together to form a dough. Cover and refrigerate an hour.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Spread some flour on a cutting board and on the rolling pin. (If needed)
Roll out the dough. Use the cookie cutter to cut out the cookies.
Place the cookies onto the cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Place in oven.
Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes or until they turn slightly brown.
Allow them to cool slightly while still on the cookie sheet.
Then transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Icing Directions
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except food coloring.
Beat for 4 minutes.
If icing is does not appear to be stiff enough add 1/4 C powder sugar.
Test this by turning the spoon upside down. If the icing is firm and seems to stick to the spoon, no more sugar is needed.
Divide the icing into 4 bowls, and leave one of them white.
Add the gel food coloring In the other 3 bowls. One red, one blue, and one black.
Take 3 individual icing bags and fill each with their own icing color. Use a #2 tip.
Twist the open end of the bag to push the icing to the tip.

Fill in his ears with the black icing, allow to dry.
Use the blue icing to fill in the blue part of mickey’s head and let sit for 10 seconds before using the white icing to add dots.
Use the red icing to fill in the lines of every other one.
Repeat with the white icing.
Set the cookies aside for 5-10 hours to dry.
