Ghostbusters Cupcakes
These Ghostbusters Cupcakes are a great treat to serve at a Ghostbusters themed birthday party. They are perfect to munch on while watching the new Ghostbusters movie that will soon hit the big screen. I ain’t afraid a no ghost- GHOSTBUSTERS! It is a great family movie to see with your littles!

Ghostbusters Cupcakes
It is advised that you make a transfer pattern of the logo the day before you plan to make the cupcakes.
Cupcake ingredients
1 box of chocolate cake mix
Oil
Water
Eggs
Directions for Cupcakes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line cupcake pan with liners
Make the chocolate cake based on box directions
Bake for 20 minutes and then set aside to cool.
Frosting Recipe
1 cup unsalted butter softened
3 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3-5 TBSP heavy whipping cream
3 drops of leaf green food coloring
Directions
Combine all ingredients except the food coloring into a mixing bowl.
Mix well until well combined and stiff.
Add in the food coloring.
Place frosting into a piping bag with a star tip.
Transfer Directions and Icing Recipe
4 egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
3 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Red and black food coloring
Transfer (Logo) Directions
Combine all ingredients into a stand mixer bowl and mix on medium speed.
You could also use a hand mixer or mix with a fork.
Mix well for a couple of minutes or until the mixtures starts to look like thick soup.
Then add in the 1/2 cup icing sugar.
Continue to mix until icing is thick and stiff.
Divide icing into 3 bowls.
Add the red food coloring to one bowl, black into the second and leave the 3rd icing, white.
You are going to need 3 different piping bags with a number 2 tip.
Add each different color icing to a separate piping bag.
Lay a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Take a blank sheet of paper and draw out the Ghostbuster symbol.
Place that sheet of paper under the parchment paper.
Take the black piping bag and outline the ghost.
Then take the piping bag filled with red icing, outline and fill in the red part like shown in the in process picture.
Then take the piping bag filled with white icing and use it to fill in the ghost.
Now that you have finished making the Ghostbusters image in icing, you need to let it air dry for 8-10 hrs or overnight.
Take the hardened icing image and place it onto freshly frosted cupcakes.
