Peppermint Bark Truffles
During the Christmas season, people usually make different treats to serve their guests. Peppermint Bark Truffles are easy to make and are excellent to serve at Christmas time. Here is the recipe if you want to make some.
Ingredients
12 ounces white chocolate, split in half
½ cup heavy cream
2 candy canes
½ tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp mint extract
Pour half of your white chocolate into a medium sized bowl and set aside. In a small saucepan heat heavy cream until it begins to froth. Immediately pour the cream over the white chocolate chips and stir. The heated milk will melt the chocolate, and you want to make sure that the chocolate is completely combined with the milk.
Add unsalted butter to the melted chocolate and milk and stir until it is completely dissolved too. Place candy canes in a ziploc bag and smash with a rolling pin. Add the crushed candy cane to the chocolate mixture, setting aside a third for topping later.
Place mixing bowl of melted white chocolate in the fridge for two hours, or until it has reached a fudge like consistency.
Use a melon baller or your hands to roll out a tablespoon of the stiff white chocolate mixture into small balls.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the remaining white chocolate. Drop each ball into the white chocolate so that truffle balls are completely covered.
Immediately roll each ball in broken up candy cane bits to cover. Alternately, you can add candy cane bits to the tops of each truffle ball.
Your peppermint bark truffles should be hard in about ten minutes and ready to eat!

I wonder if there is a similar, and delicious way to make these peppermint bark truffles without using heavy cream? I bet it wouldn’t taste as good, right? I shouldn’t experiment with recipes – I’m not the best baker even following one, haha! These look SO good. I’m a huge fan of peppermint over here.
