One common staple food that is found in most households is peanut butter. Peanut butter tastes great on bread, toast, peanut chicken, in between celery and other various dishes and, of course, in baked goods and desserts. Nothing beats the taste of a sandwich that is made with peanut butter and jam, peanut butter and honey, peanut butter and banana, peanut butter and cheese and whichever other combination that your palate desires. That is, of course, unless you or someone in your family happens to have an allergy towards peanuts or any of the additives that can be found in processed peanut butter.
I, myself, personally absolutely love peanut butter. I have tried several different types over the years. Some of these types have included; natural peanut butter, processed peanut butter as well as organic peanut butter. We, in fact, tend to purchase a few of the large size well-known brands of peanut butter(s) when they are on sale, and when our budget is a little constrained we also do choose some of the generic brands or store brands as well.
Mind you, being a peanut butter aficionado for many years, you come to know which one you prefer, whether it is a higher priced well-known name brand or a store brand that works out to be pennies or dollars cheaper than the other type.
To say, I was thrilled to do a product review of a relatively newb on the peanut butter market, is definitely an understatement. I was beside myself when I was offered a chance to review Peanut Butter Crave or PB Crave as it is more commonly known. The brain behind this company, is Curt Riess, who was raised on traditionally made peanut butter and did not like it. So he did what most people do, he avoided it when he got older.
So, Curt avoided it for almost forty years. This sure sounds familiar, cause there are some store brands, I cannot stomach, no matter what and when we only have that type in the home, I use something else on top of my bread or toast. That is, until he tried a peanut butter that had a totally different taste and texture than one had tried before. It was a peanut butter that combined raspberries, peanut butter and chocolate! Curt actually loved the taste so much that he went about making his very own peanut butter. And thus, PB Crave was born.
PB Crave comes in four unique flavors and is made by Sweet Harvest Foods in Cannon Falls, MN.
The four flavors are;
Razzle Dazzle
Cookie Nookie
Coco Bananas
Choco Choco
And these, DO NOT contain hydrogenated oil, artificial flavors, syrup, corn syrup, and are gluten and cholesterol-free! They are also artisan crafted, and made in small batches, therefore ensuring a top quality product.
PB Crave also give back to the community and the world! Project Peanut Butter is a non-profit organization that is focused on helping malnourished children. A minimum of 2% profit from the sale of each jar of peanut butter goes directly to Project Peanut Butter. More than 100,000 children have been saved with ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs), for exanple, fortified peanut butter-like pastes.
I received all four flavors of PB Crave- Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Nookie, Coco Bananas, and Choco Choco.
Here is what the jars of PB Crave look like;
Razzle Dazzle – Razzle Dazzle contains a wonderful blend of red raspberry, honey, white and semi-sweet chocolate. Choco Choco- Choco Choco contains natural premium peanut butter, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and a touch of honey. Cookie Nookie- Cookie Nookie contains premium, natural peanut butter, cookie dough, chocolate chips and a touch of honey. Choco Bananas- Choco Bananas contain premium, natural peanut butter, chocolate chips, natural banana flavoring and a touch of honey. Out of the four that I had the chance to review, I would have to say that the Choco Banana is my favorite. A close runner up would definitely be PB Crave’s Cookie Nookie. All I can say is that I am definitely hooked! Disclaimer- I received 4 different flavors of PB Crave to try. I was not compensated with monetary funds for doing this review. I did, however, receive 4 jars of PB Crave for free. The opinions is this blog posted are my own and I was not obligated to write a positive review.
Omg these just made me so hungry!
