Elf Slime
Keep the children entertained for a few hours during the Christmas holidays with a mason jar filled with Elf Slime. This solution is easy to make and will keep them occupied for a couple of hours while they have fun playing with it. I know our Elf loves to play with the Elf Slime because no matter where I place the jar, he always seems to find it! When the kids come downstairs for their breakfast, they look around to see what mischief our Elf has gotten into overnight, and the jar of slime always seems to have been tampered with.
Makes 1 8 oz. mason jar
Ingredients
1/2 TBSP baking soda
1 1/2 TBSP contact lens solution
1 6 fl oz clear Elmer’s Glue
1 TBSP Green Glitter
2 tsp Kelly Green food coloring
1 large glass bowl
1 rubber spatula
1 8oz mason jar with a lid
Directions
Add the glue, contact solution, baking soda, food coloring and glitter to a large bowl.
Stir together until well combined.
Continue stirring until the slime gets firm.
This means that it is done.
Scoop the slime into your hands and then place it into the mason jar.
Place a plastic tablecloth or plastic drop sheet on the table and let the
children and the Elf play with the slime.
Place it back in the mason jar when playtime is over.
Our Elf is so taken up with it that he does not get into as much mischief as he normally does. Santa will sure be surprised at how well behaved he has been!
Have fun!
