Bucket List for Families

A bucket list is really something that all families should have. A bucket list is basically a list of things your family wants to do in the next year, next five years, etc. Here is a bucket list for families that will help you with ideas on how to make and spend quality time with your family.

Bucket List for Families

Have a Family Picnic– A picnic is the perfect time for families to not only enjoy some food, but also play and spend some quality time together. Family picnics don’t have to be anything fancy and can be done right in your own backyard. You can make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grab some fruit and gather some juice boxes, and you are good to go.

Give Back to the Community– Giving back to the community as a family is a great way to teach kids responsibility. You can choose to volunteer at places like the local food pantry, homeless shelter, nursing home or park cleanup committee.

Host a Lemonade Stand– Families have been hosting lemonade stands for years and years. Hosting a lemonade stand in your front yard with your kids, help teach them about entrepreneurship.

Hold a Garage Sale– Have a family garage sale. This will help you to declutter your home and teach your child about earning a little cash from items that they no longer need or want. This will also help to teach them that their unwanted goods are wanted by others and the importance about keeping things out of the landfill.

Visit an Aquarium– Aquariums are filled with an array of marine life. Almost every state has at least one aquarium, so if you have already visited the aquariums in your state, head over to the state that neighbors you.

Take a Day Trip– Day trips are so much fun because they allow families to get away from it all, without having to spend loads of money. There are so many things you can do as a family on a day trip, including visiting a local landmark, local museum or other local attraction.

Attend an Outdoor Concert– Most communities offer free outdoor concerts during the summer months. They tend to start rather early in the evening, so no worries about the kids staying up late. These concerts offer lawn seating so bring along a large enough blanket everyone can sit on.

You can print out this Bucket List for Families, so that you can have it on hand to get some ideas on what activities you could do as a family unit.

It’s almost like you read my mind. This list has all the things on it that my hubby and I enjoy doing. We’ve already checked off. a couple since spring started. I’m adding an ‘s’ to the day trip so we can make it trips this year.

These are great family bonding activities. These days, we had little time left to spend together at home since most of our time are spent at work (and yes, even during weekends). Spending a day in a garden doing picnic seems like a fun idea.

These are great things up on a family bucket list! I don’t have kids myself, but these are things that my family and I have done over the years. It’s great to always bond with one another. 😀
