Life Guard– Getting a job as a life guard is perfect for teenagers who love the beach and love to swim. What is better than getting paid to spend summers at the beach? This form of employment does come with some pretty high responsibilities, including spotting emergencies and those that are hired on as a life guard should be excellent swimmers.

Babysitter– For teens who love kids, babysitting is an excellent summer job. It gives teens some added responsibility and the pay is pretty good too. Babysitting is also an ideal summer job for those who don’t necessarily like to be outdoors. Babysitting makes the perfect first-time job for them, since experience is not usually mandatory.

Camp Counselor– Being employed as a camp counselor is ideal for teenagers who love to spend time outdoors, participating in sports, camping, hiking and swimming. Those who take on a job as a camp counselor should also be good with kids and enjoy working with kids.

Newspaper Deliverer– For teenagers who are not morning people, being a newspaper delivery person probably isn’t for them. However, being a newspaper deliverer allows them to work in the early morning hours, so they can have the rest of the day to enjoy the summer months. This summer job requires the applicant to have a vehicle and vehicle insurance.

Pet Sitter– A pet sitter is a great employment opportunity for teens who love animals. Those that get hired will love the enjoyment of getting paid to spend time in the company of animals.
