Banana Day
April 15th is Banana Day. Did you know that in many US universities the students dress up as this fruit on Banana Day. It is a day to remember this fruit that often finds its way into lunchboxes around the nation. Personally, I love bananas in plain cereal, in sandwiches, made into muffins, banana bread, and even eating it plain.
Did you know that there can be 10-50 bananas in a hand? They are rich in vitamin B6 and contain many other nutrients. Vitamin C, manganese, potassium, and copper are just a few vitamins and minerals that can be found in this fruit.
Go ahead and have a banana today…and get some important vitamins into you.
