People of Chinese descent often take part in the Dragon Festival. This event takes place at various localities around the world. There is also the Dragon Boat Festival and races. Some cities also hold this event in which athletic people get into special racing boats and try to beat their opponents to the finish line. Teams from around the world participate in these events.

I remember watching the Dragon Boat races when I was younger. I really believe that at one time there were dragons. One of my absolute favorite dragon is Puff. Puff the Magic Dragon first came to me via a radio broadcast many years ago.

I used to sing this song as a child and then sang it to my children when they were infants. Other dragons that I have come to love is Duddley the Dragon from a kid’s television show and Falkor from The Never Ending Story.

Today is Appreciate a Dragon Day! Which dragons do you remember?
