The Walking Dead Cupcakes

The Walking Dead television series has become a fan favorite for young and old alike. The series is about a infectious disease that has found its way into the human population. Once a human is bitten by the walking dead, otherwise known as zombies, they reanimate into zombies themselves and wander the planet, in search of food, which in this case is anything living, whether it be animal or human.

There has been surprises, pitfalls, and heart-wrenching scenarios played out by the cast of The Walking Dead. Surprises  and heart-break such as welcoming new life in an apocalyptic time. Scenes such as when Lori goes into labor and dies before baby Judith has been born. However, Maggie and Carl manage to extract baby Judith via emergency C-section.

A major pitfall certainly plays out in the scene in Atlanta. All of the major characters in The Walking Dead arrive in Atlanta and infiltrate the Atlanta Center for Disease Control in the hopes of finding a  vaccine for those that have survived the zombie attack thus far. Their hopes are dashed when they are told by the only remaining scientist, Dr. Edwin Jenner that there is no cure and all of them are infected with the disease and it is only a matter of time until they too will turn. This scene ends with the Center of Disease Control being blown up at the hands of Dr. Jenner. One of the minor characters in the show, decided that the world was no longer a place that she wanted to live in and choose to eliminate herself from it in the explosion.

There are several other scenes in the show that are memorable. Too many to list. These The Walking Dead cupcakes pay tribute to one of my favorite characters, (I have a few), Herschel Greene, played by Scott Wilson, who has a portion of his leg amputated in order to survive after being bit by a walker. The group amputates the lower part of Herschel’s leg and he manages to survive for several more episodes. His character faces many trials and tribulations as the show progresses.

Sadly, Herschel Greene meets his end, when that guy we all love to hate, The Governor, played by David Morrissey, decides that he has to provoke an all out war in order to take over the prison. He tries to teach the Atlanta group a lesson in who’s the boss by offing Herschel’s head.

It was one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in The Walking Dead television series and one that I never will forget. Kudos to Scott Wilson for giving us a character that we have all come to know and love. RIP Herschel Greene.

If you are thinking about hosting a zombie themed birthday party or even The Walking Dead Halloween Party, then these The Walking Dead Bloody Foot Cupcakes will make a great addition to your party.
