Techno Day

And Thank You Detroit is in reference to Days of the Year for December 9th. It is known as Techno Day. This particular form of dance first emerged in nightclubs in Detroit, Michigan. There was also techno music that was trending at the same time. As for myself, I did go to the occasional nightclub with my boyfriend, now my hubby, but never really got into the Techno music or dance for that matter.

Where were you at in the 1980’s? Were you busy tearing up the floor dancing Techno or perhaps another form of dance and music?
