Ice cream flavors that were extremely popular were vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, in that order. Ice cream became more popular in the 19th and 20th century in America. Sodas were invented and many ice cream flavors, including strawberry became best sellers. Ice cream sodas and floats were treats that were served on hot days. Advancements in refrigeration made this possible.
