FollowShortbread Day
Shortbread Day is Jan 6th. This type of cookie is thought to have originated in Scotland. These buttery treats are usually served at Christmas time and other festive occasions. There are several different variation of this cookie recipe. One of my favorite is the whipped shortbread. It is a very simple biscuit to make. It usually consists of sugar, butter and flour. Some people like to add in chocolate chips. I personally like them plain.
