Rice Krispie Treats  are favored by the young and old alike. Decorate them up as Lego Rice Krispie Treats to serve at a boy’s birthday party or any occasion. Just think how quickly these will be eaten up and they make the perfect party snack for preschoolers, and school-age children too! You could also make these Lego Cookies as I am sure they will be a big hit! (Will post the other recipe soon, so stay tuned.)

Lego Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

6 c Rice Krispie cereal

10 oz mini marshmallows

3 tablespoons butter

Wax Paper

9 x 13 rectangular baking dish

Deep saucepan

Directions

Get some wax paper and tear off a piece long enough to cover the inside of a 9 x 13 rectangular baking dish..
Spray the wax paper with Pam and set aside.
Put a saucepan on the stove, add the butter and melt it over medium heat.

Pour in the mini marshmallows and mix until blended.

Continue melting over low heat

Scoop the mixture out of the saucepan. Place it on the sheet of waxed paper.

Tear off another sheet of wax paper and use this to press down the mixture into a 9 x 13 rectangular baking dish.

Set aside.

Icing Ingredients

3 egg whites

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

3 cups powdered sugar

Blue, red and green food coloring gel

Blue, red, and green M&M’s

1 baking sheet

Directions

In a standing mixer or bowl, combine all ingredients except the colors and M&M’s.
Mix on medium speed or beat the ingredients until your icing is bright white
Add in 1/2 cup of powdered sugar if the icing is a yellow color.

Once you have the icing the color and consistency that you like, split it into 3 bowls and add in a color to each bowl

Cut the Rice Krispie block into small rectangles and dip into the icing.

Set each piece onto baking sheet.
Once they all have been dipped, add 6 M&M’s to the respective colored Rice Krispie bars that has been cut into a rectangular shape.
Let each iced piece sit for at least an hour, so that the icing may set.Lego Rice Krispie Treats 2 RS
