Cheetos Cookies

Little kids love the taste of Cheetos and it is not surprising that they also love these Cheetos Cookies. They are easy to make, convenient, and easy for little hands to hold. They make the perfect snack for lunches, midday, or even after dinner. Cheetos cookies are cheesy and delicious. Why don’t you whip up a batch for you and your family to enjoy?

 

Cheetos Cookies

 Ingredients

Makes 2 dozen cookies
1 1/4 cups flour
5 cups of Cheetos puffs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temp
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 egg, room temperature

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Place 3 cups of Cheetos in a Ziploc bag, seal and use a rolling pin to crush them.
Combine the flour, Cheetos crumbs, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Mix to combine.
Add the butter, shortening and sugar to another bowl.
Cream the butter, sugar and shortening.
Add in the egg and mix well.
Add 1/2 of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
Cover and refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.
Using a small ice cream scoop, make dough balls.
Add the remaining 2 cups Cheetos crumbs to a small bowl.
Roll each dough ball in the Cheetos crumbs
Place the dough balls on a parchment paper lined baking pan.
Bake for 10-12 minutes
Remove from the oven.
Place cookies on a wire rack to cool completely
Enjoy!
