Tonight’s dinner was delicious and nutritious and did not take a lot of time to prepare.
I had a package of bow tie pasta as well as a small package of spaghetti sauce mix. I only added enough water to boil the pasta a la dente and did not even bother to drain it as the sauce mix required water to be added. So I figured, I’ll just toss that in to the same pot. As that was cooking, I seasoned two small steaks with salt and pepper as well as Worchestershire sauce and a little tenderizer. Into the pan they went along with a little olive oil. Once they were cooked through, I chopped them up fine and added them to the pasta mix. Stirred the meat in and topped with grated Parmesan cheese. A small green salad and some garlic bread completed the meal. There was enough for everyone as well as some leftover,in case someone wants to have some later on. I am sure that all of you know that any type of pasta can help those food dollars stretch even more. It is very versatile and budget friendly as any type of meat or fish or cheese can be added to it to make a meal for a family.
I cooked this in Rachael Ray’s Hard Adonized Non-Stick 8 Quart Oval Pasta Pot with Orange Lid that is on sale on Amazon right now! This is also great for homemade soups and corn on the cob. If you need a new pasta pot, get it now before the sale is over!
Hi! I am a new follower from Mom Blog Society 🙂 I want to thank you for a new recipe. I don’t normally cook pastas, I tend to either way under cook or way over cook it. So I gave up, but this sounds so yummy! 🙂
