Princess Peach Cupcake
Cupcake Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, room temp
2 egg whites, room temp
2 eggs, room temp
2 cups all- purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Cupcake Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees….Line cupcakes tins with paper liners.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder,salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
3. In another bowl….beat butter on medium-high for 30 seconds.
4. Add sugar and vanilla to the butter….beat until combined.
5. Add egg whites and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one is added.
6. Alternate the flour and buttermilk mixture, beating on low speed until everything is mixed together.
7. Scoop the batter into the lined cupcake tins until they are 2/3 rds filled.
8. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes….or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
10. Remove from cupcake tray and place on wire racks allowing to cool completely.
Cupcake Frosting
Frosting Ingredients:
1 cup soft unsalted butter
4 + cups powder sugar
4 TBSP heavy whipping cream
Pink gel food coloring
Frosting Directions
1. Cream the butter and powder sugar until it looks light and creamy.
2. If it doesn’t cream add several drops of the heavy whipping cream.
3. Test to see if the frosting can form and hold a stiff peak.
4. Add several drops of pink gel food coloring….mix well…Make sure the pink is the color that you want.
5. If not add more powder sugar 1/2 C at a time.
6. Test to make sure that the frosting can make and hold a stiff peak.
7. Divide the frosting equally into two bowls…..first bowl remains white.
8. Add several drops of pink gel food coloring to the second bowl, mix well.
9. Scoop the pink frosting into a pastry bag with a 13 inch round frosting tip.
10. Then add the white frosting….twist the open end of the pastry bag to push the frosting to the tip.
11. Test to make sure that the combination of pink and white frosting comes to the tip at the same time.
12. Frost the cupcakes by starting at the outer edge of the cupcake in a circle until you reach the center of the cupcake.
13.Build a second smaller swirl and then a center dollop.
Royal Icing
Icing Ingredients:
2 egg whites
1 cup powder sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Yellow, pink, orange, red and blue gel food coloring
Icing Directions-
1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring)
2.If icing is not stiff enough add 1/4 C powder sugar.
3. Spoon 1/2 of the icing into a bowl….add several drops of yellow gel food coloring….mix well.
4. Spoon the 1/8th of the remaining icing into a second bowl… add several drops of pink gel food coloring…mix well.
5. Take out 2 TBSP of frosting add several drops of black gel food coloring…mix well in a separate bowl.
6. Take out 1 TBSP of frosting add several drops of orange gel food coloring..mix well in a separate bowl.
7. Take out 1 TBSP of frosting….it stays white. (separate bowl)
8. Take out 1 TBSP of frosting.. add several drops of blue gel food coloring mixing well….(separate bowl)
9. Take out another 1 TBSP of frosting… add several drops of red gel food coloring…mix well. (separate bowl)
10. Spoon the icing into individual small frosting bags with a #2 tip.
Princess Peach
1. Locate a picture of an Princess Peach on Google.
2. Print the picture in color. Tape this picture with small numerous images of it on it to a cookie sheet.
3. Tape wax paper (covering the copies of the image) to the cookie sheet . Follow the color and features as printed on the paper.
4. Using a small pastry bag fill with the black royal icing and a #2 tip.
5. Start by outlining the image first with the black.
6. Then fill in the image of the hair with the yellow icing… allow this to dry for 30 minutes.
7. Following the picture… fill in the face with the pink royal icing…allow to dry for 30 minutes then with the black royal icing add the facial features.
8. Fill in the crown with the orange royal icing.. allow to dry.
9. When dry add the red and blue jewels with the icing.
10. Fill in the earring with the white icing.
11. Allow to dry for 5-10 hours.
12. Ensure that the image is dry, gently touch one of them with your finger if it allows you to push in on the icing allow it to dry more.
13. If the image is dry then it will have a hard feeling not allowing you to push in on it.
14. Cut the wax paper holding the completed image into squares surrounding the completed design.
15. Peel the wax paper off of the back of the iced figure.
16. Place in front in the center of the frosted cupcake.
