Poultry Day
March 19th is Poultry Day. It is a day to remember all of the fowl that we like to eat during the holidays. Every cook likes to serve a traditional dish on the holidays. More often than not a member of the poultry family will grace your table.
At our home, we serve turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Easter time is usually reserved for a ham and or roast of lamb. One fowl that I have not yet tried is the pheasant. I have had duck and find it a little greasy and heavy. I think for poultry day I am going to bake a whole chicken.
