You can use any cupcake recipe you like. Chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate chip – anything will work. Simply bake and cool at least a dozen cupcakes. You will need to wait to frost each cupcake just before decorating to ensure it stays sticky for your marshmallows and sprinkles.

You Will Need:

1 dozen (or more) cooled cupcakes

1 batch of any flavor white colored frosting

1 bag of miniature marshmallows

sugar sprinkles in assorted colors divided into separate bowls

scissors

small yellow candies – (Skittles, M&M’s or Lemon Heads work well.)

For the Pink Flower Cupcake:

1.       Cut marshmallows diagonally and dip the sticky side in the sugar sprinkles while pinching the narrow end
to create a petal shape.

2.       Frost 1 cupcake at a time and place the dipped marshmallows onto the frosted area starting at the outer
edge.

3.       Working in circles, fill the entire cupcake with the dipped marshmallows.

For the Sunflower Cupcake:

1.       Mix some of the yellow sprinkles into the pink sprinkles.

2.       Cut marshmallows diagonally and dip each one, alternating colors between solid yellow and the
pink/yellow mixture.

3.       Starting on the outer edge and working inward, line two circular rows making sure to leave the center
empty.

4.       Gently and slowly pour the yellow sugar sprinkles into the center of the cupcake. *Dip your finger in
a tiny bit of water and dab dried icing to revive stickiness.

For the Purple Flower Cupcake:

1.       Pour green sprinkles into a small shallow bowl.

2.       Frost a cupcake and gently dip it into the green sugar sprinkles, covering the entire frosted area.

3.       Secure a piece of yellow candy in the center of the cupcake with a tiny dot of frosting.

4.       Cut marshmallows diagonally and dip the sticky side into purple sugar sprinkles.

5.       Use a tiny dot of frosting to secure each marshmallow around the piece of candy.
