FollowLost Sock Memorial Day
Saturday May 9th is Lost Sock Memorial Day. About time they made a day for this. I mean, really. How many of us end up doing laundry only to find that some socks are really a sock because they are missing their other half.
I remember placing all the odd socks in a spare hamper and eventually ended up with a plastic bag full. I am sure that the washer and dryer are not eating them. And we definitely do not have a living, breathing, sock monster in our house.
Socks make their way under blankets, behind beds, and even under them in our house. Thank heavens for the cold weather when your kids wear boots and no one sees that they are wearing two odds socks. My eldest daughter is pretty good at grabbing mismatched socks. I can see a navy and a black being put together as a pair but a slate grey and a black is really obvious.
With her having three dogs, it is a wonder that she even owns a pair of socks as they love to chew them up along with her shoes.
