Home Remedies for Hiding Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are lines on the surface of the skin that are plainly visible due to their off-color hue. These marks can mostly be found on the abdomen but can also be found on the breasts, thighs, buttocks and upper arms. Pregnancy is the number one cause of stretch marks but they can also be caused by changes in physical shape, rapid growth, stress and heredity factors. The good news is that there are some home remedies out there that will hide those stretch marks on your body.
Aloe Vera- Aloe Vera helps with a wide array of skin problems so its soothing and healing components may be used to hide stretch marks. With Aloe Vera, there are different ways in which you can apply it to your skin. You can take Aloe Vera GelAloe Vera Gel and apply it to the stretch marks directly, leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water. You can also whip up a mixture of ΒΌ cup of Aloe Vera gel with the oils from 10 Vitamin E capsules and 5 Vitamin A capsules. Apply this mixture directly on the skin once a day.
Olive Oil- Olive oil is an effective home remedy for hiding stretch marks. The reason it is so effective is that olive oil contains nutrients and antioxidants that help with an array of skin problems. It also helps with blood circulation and reduces stretch marks. You want to warm the olive oil just a bit and then apply it right on the stretch marks.
Egg Whites- Egg whites are extremely beneficial for getting rid of stretch marks. This is due to the fact that egg whites are packed with amino acids and proteins. Just take 2 eggs and separate the whites of them. Then, slightly whisk them together, apply a layer to the area of stretch marks, allow to dry and rinse with cool water.
Potato Juice- Potato juice is loaded with vitamins and minerals that allows for restoration of skin cells. Take a medium sized potato and cut into 3-4 thick slices. Then, take one of the slices and rub into directly onto the stretch marks for 1-2 minutes. You want to be sure that the starch from the potato covers the stretch marks. Allow the juice to dry and then rinse with warm water.
Cocoa Butter-Cocoa ButterCocoa butter has been used for many years because of its anti-aging and anti-wrinkling properties. Also, cocoa butter helps with blood circulation, which in turn reduces stretch marks. Twice a day you want to massage cocoa butter onto the stretch marks.
