Witch Hazel– Witch hazel is great for bee stings because of the fact it contains astringent properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties. These two properties will help with the swelling, discomfort and itchiness associated with bee stings. Just apply a small amount of witch hazel to the area of the bee sting and let it dry.
Apple Cider Vinegar– Apple cider vinegar is another great bee sting remedy due to the fact that it assists in neutralizing the acid that is found in the bee’s venom. In addition, apple cider vinegar also helps to lessen the discomfort and itching. To apply, use raw apple cider vinegar and apply to a cotton ball. Press the cotton ball onto the affected area and hold it for about 10 minutes.
Aspirin– Aspirin for bee stings has to be one of the oldest home remedies in the book. Aspirin is designed to neutralizing the venom’s acid and because it has anti-inflammatory properties, it helps with discomfort and swelling as well. Honey– Everyone seems to have honey in their home these days, so it will definitely come in handy in the event you are stung by a bee. Honey features anti-bacterial properties, reducing the chance the area will get infected. Be sure you use only raw, pure honey. Apply a dab on the bee sting area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then, rinse with warm water and pat dry.
