Half Empty or Half Full?

Share

There are two kinds of people – optimist and pessimist, the nayer’s and the yayer’s and the question is your proverbial glass half empty or half full? I tend to be a bit of a pessimist, however, I was not always one. At some points in our lives we go through changes, these changes also have some effect on our perspective outlook of everyday things. I also think that most people are both, depending on the circumstance. If you are positive that something will not work no matter how much you try, we tend to be pessimistic about it.

On the other hand, if we are about to do something that we know will work, bring enjoyment and not cause to much trouble to get it done, then we tend to be optimistic about it.

In order to overcome your pessimistic side, it is important that you have or at least try to have good thoughts about something that you are about to undertake. Having a good attitude can brighten the day for not only you but the people around you.

There are ways that you can become more of an optimist than a pessimist or become half full rather than half empty and that is by trying to push all negative thoughts out of your brain and know that you are as valuable as the next guy no matter your shape, size, color, looks or station in life.

Now the question is are you half empty or half full?

“Some people see the glass half full. Others see it half empty.
I see a glass that’s twice as big as it needs to be.” I love George Carlin. 🙂

I believe that your attitude reflects everyone around you! So always put on your smiling face, if not for you the others around. A smile is contagious.
