Garlic Day
April 19th is Garlic Day. Today is the time to celebrate by eating more of this fragrant onion like product. This little relative of the onion family sure does pack a punch. It is rich in antioxidants, helps to lower cholesterol levels, and also help to prevent heart disease. Some people do not like to eat it very much because of its powerful flavor.
Garlic cloves can be chopped into thin slices and used to marinate meats. You can also cook with it. The cloves can be made into a tea and will surely give your immune system a boast. Cut it into thin slices, along with fresh ginger. Add boiling water and some honey. This tea will help to remove toxins from your body.
