One of our favorite ways to bring the tropics to our home is to create these simple smoothies and serve them in special “Tropical Themed” glasses. Our kids really feel like they are being treated to something exciting when we do this! Below you will find my top 3 favorite super easy summer smoothie recipes. Make some up for your family or even to entertain your guests. These simple to make smoothies are not only nutritious, but delicious as well.
1 Cup Strawberry Yogurt
½ Cup Orange Juice
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
½ Ripe Banana
1 Cup Pineapple Chunks
½ Cup Ice
½ Cup Coconut Water
1 Cup Vanilla Yogurt
1 Cup Fresh Blueberries
½ Cup Ice
1 Cup Blueberry Yogurt
½ Cup Skim Milk
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
For individual smoothies, blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Make sure the fruits are washed and sorted. Discard any that happen to have blemishes. You may adjust the amount of liquid/juice/milk to create your desired thickness of smoothie.
