Disney Cruises Rare Destinations

Disney cruises are raising the bar in the travel industry. They do this by creating itineraries that travelers are scrambling to book, and also by offering amenities that no one else has even thought of.  Like so many other Disney experiences, you can only go to certain places, experience certain things and enjoy secluded places when you do them with Disney.

Rather than send guests to the usual places, Disney Cruises has consistently created new itineraries that feature private, secluded and rare destinations, away from the busy ports that other cruise lines fill every year.

These are the best of Disney’s more exclusive cruising options, with private or secluded destinations that travelers are scrambling to book.

Castaway Cay

Disney started their cruise line destination choices off with a bang when they revealed Castaway Cay, a private port of call in the Bahamas. Only guests aboard the Bahamian and Caribbean cruises have access to this section of paradise, which also means that everything here is catered specifically to the Disney cruiser. The island has been completely outfitted with activities, experiences and accommodations that appeal to families, children and adults that are on the island.

Fjords of Norway

Disney’s newest cruise destination takes guests to the fjords of Norway, where each port of call is home to breathtaking landscapes, picturesque towns and outdoor adventure. So many of the destinations on the Norwegian fjord cruise are out of the way. These are little gems are places that most cruise guests would otherwise never have known about.  Architecture tours, exclusive sailing and fishing trips, and even the chance to explore the culture and history of Norway awaits. This tour is great for couples or adults looking to explore a corner of the world most people only hear about.

Transatlantic Crossing

Very few cruise lines offer transatlantic crossings because they are essentially just several days spent at sea. Transatlantic crossing used to be the way everyone traveled when they cruised, before planes made ocean crossings an hours long affair. Disney Cruise Lines put together a couple of really fantastic crossings that guests will love for the seclusion they offer. Travelers flock to them because of the destinations they do pull into. Your ship, the ocean and star filled skies are all the reason you need to book a cruise that takes you through northern Europe to Disney’s private island,  a Bahama island or to a Mediterranean Isle route.

Canada

The shores of Canada are some of the most overlooked destinations, home to generations of families. Many of these shores have also been abandoned by the last generations of families that called Halifax, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Saint John home. A lot of this area is untouched, unspoiled and forgotten by tourists. Disney recognized the beauty and value of the coastal communities that are filled with not just picturesque landscapes, but tons of provincial history. This secluded cruise really takes you through the Canada that rarely sees tons of tourists. It  is still a joy to visit and has plenty of hidden travel gems for you to discover and create memories about while you are there.
