Dinner for Four on a Budget

Tonight’s dinner was delicious and did not cost a whole lot to throw together. I purchased a pre-made lasagna that contained 3 different cheeses, ricotta, parmesan, and mozzerella, the noodles, of course, as well as crab, shrimp, and bay scallops. This was on sale for 8.99, regular 11.99. 1 bag of coleslaw, mixed with Creamy Caesar’s as well as Coleslaw salad dressing and a tip of sugar, cost is roughly around 2.25, taking into account the amount of salad dressing. 1 can of summer crisp corn about .69 cents and 1 package of Highliner Potato Fish Cakes (12 in box) on sale for 5.99. Total cost less than 20 dollars, not a bad meal for a family of four. I was full with just a small slice of the lasagna, a spoon of corn, one fish cake and a tablespoon of coleslaw. Of course, the kids managed to eat much more than me, one topped off their dinner with an apple for dessert, while the other one snatched up the chocolate peanuts and a few gummy worms…. couple hours later….. making a chicken burger! Man, I do not know where they are putting it.
