Croissant Day is Jan 30th. This is  a buttery, flaky pastry that is usually eaten at breakfast, lunch, or even as a evening snack.

These have been made since the middle ages. It is moon shaped and originated in France. This is a favorite breakfast or brunch food that is extremely popular in Europe. The most common of this pastry is the butter one. Other types also include chocolate filled.

I know that my kids love the butter ones and sometimes as a treat we will pick them up from the bakery.
