Blueberry & Cream Skillet Cobbler

This Blueberries & Cream Skillet Cobbler is perfect to serve guests and family members. It is baked in the stove and is light, full of fruit, and has a creamy cake like texture. It is rich in anti-oxidants and vitamins. Great to serve with afternoon tea or a dessert for Sunday dinner.

Blueberries & Cream Skillet Cobbler

You Will Need

1 stick butter

1 cup all purpose flour
1 egg lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 quart blueberries
4 ounces cream cheese cut in small pieces

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt butter in your skillet.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the egg, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour directly over the butter in the skillet, but do not stir.
4. Add the blueberries.
5. Sprinkle cream cheese pieces over blueberries.
6. Place in preheated oven and bake 45 minutes, or until top is golden brown and edges are bubbling.
Blueberries & Cream Skillet Cobbler

Serve immediately, hot and fresh out of the oven for the best flavor. Top with ice cream or eat it a la carte.

      Yes. It would be perfect for that occasion. You can choose any fresh fruit that you enjoy. I have made it with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Very delicious.
