Times Square, New York City- Times Square, New York City is one of the most popular hotspots but it certainly isn’t the only place to celebrate the new year. Here are some of the best U.S. cities to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
Miami, Florida– Miami is well-known for its awesome nightlife so it goes without saying that Miami and New Year’s Eve go hand in hand. At 8:00pm, the Bayfront Park in the heart of downtown Miami starts the festivities. At the stroke of midnight, fireworks and dancing takeover the festivities. From 9:00pm till 2:00am, there is a large party held in Lummus Park in South Beach, which also features fireworks displays and live entertainment.
Las Vegas, Nevada– On New Year’s Eve, the Las Vegas Strip has no vehicles so it is filled with laser shows, pyrotechnic displays and live performances. Each year, over 300,000 visitors hit the strip to ring in the new year. Las Vegas also hosts numerous parties, shows and concerts in various local casinos, hotels and clubs. When the clock strikes midnight, the city skyline lights up with awesome fireworks that are launched from seven different rooftops along the Strip.
Orlando, Florida– Walt Disney World in Orlando is a great spot to ring in the new year. The park remains open until 1:00am and is filled with great activities throughout the day. When the clock strikes midnight, there is an amazing fireworks display. Before that though, Epcot showcases a laser and light show and the park hosts performances by Cirque du Soleil, confetti explosions, dance parties and live entertainers.
Los Angeles, California– Los Angeles is home to the Cleopatra New Year’s Eve Ball as well as family friendly events in Grand Park. The events feature live music spread out over three stages, food vendors and art installations. Henry’s Lounge is a hotspot on New Year’s Eve, featuring celebrity sightings, an open bar and awesome DJ.
