Bacon Jalapeno Pepper Cheesy Bread
Bread is the staff of life as we have been told. I mean, who can resist the smell of fresh bread baking whether it is baked over an open flame, in an oven, or by some other means. Another top of the list, simply can’t resist is the smell and taste of bacon. Toss in some spicy jalapeno peppers and some rich, flavorful cheese and you have created a Bacon Jalapeno Pepper Cheesy Bread that tastes out of this world. Make it and see how fast it will be gobbled up!
Bacon Jalapeno Pepper Cheesy Bread
Ingredients
2 cups cooked, chopped bacon
1/4 cup diced jalapeno peppers
1 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
3 cups flour
1 TBSP baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 TBSP granulated sugar
2 cups Shredded Mexican Blend cheese
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 TBSP vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spray a glass loaf pan with Pam.
3. In a large bowl combine (work together) with your hands the cream cheese, diced jalapenos, cooked, chopped bacon, and shredded cheese.
4. Combine the dry ingredients in another bowl. (flour, baking powder, salt and sugar).
5. Mix it together, (I use my hands).
6. Add the cream cheese mixture with the dry mixture. ( Again, I use my hands so that I don’t over mix).
7. Fold in the vegetable oil and buttermilk with the combined mixture using either your hands or mixer).
8. Spoon this Bacon Jalapeno pepper cheesy bread into loaf pan. ( Or just dump it).
9. Bake for up to 55 minutes.
10.Check to see if done at the 45 to 50 minute mark.
11. Remove from the oven.
12. Cool on a wire rack.
13. Cool for up to 30 minutes then remove from pan.
