Opening Jars– There are times when jars can be tough to open. To help open these types of jars, just wrap a thick rubber band around the lid of the jar. This will make it easier for you to grip the lid and open the jar.

Mounting a GPS– If you have a GPS in your vehicle, but don’t have a mount, just use two rubber bands. Attach the GPS device to your rear view mirror and secure with two strong bands.

Removing Stripped Screws– It isn’t always easy to remove a screw that has been stripped. To solve this problem, put a thick rubber band between the screw head and the screwdriver. This will help to make the screw more loose, since it will fill in any holes.

Making Extra Packing Space– Sometimes it really is hard to pack light, since we pack to ensure that we have everything we need. But trying to fit everything in your luggage can be a challenge. To fix this problem, roll your clothes tightly and place a rubber band around them.

Turning Pages– With new books, sometimes the pages may be difficult to turn. However, rubber bands can easily solve this dilemma. Wrap a rubber band around your finger, providing you with an instant grip.
Securing Tea Bags- I love drinking a cup of hot tea on a chilly winter night. However, it gets aggravating when the string from the tea bag gets into the cup. To solve this problem, put a rubber band around the cup, securing the tea bag.

Preventing Apples From Browning– You have probably experienced your apples turning brown almost right after you slice them. Well, did you know that a rubber band can prevent this? After slicing the apple, keep the core intact and secure with a rubber band.

There are many more things that this nifty little invention can be used to hold, bond, strengthen, wrap, or substitute. So the next time you are finding something difficult, think about whether or not you can use one of these as a temporary replacement.
