Rosebud Salve-Minted Rose-A Review

Share

I received a wonderful product the other day in the mail, Rosebud Salve-Minted Rose from the Rosebud Perfume Co of Woodsboro, MA. The company has been in existence for over 100 years and the granddaughter of G.F. Smith and Executive VP of the company, Vivian still runs the family business. Her daughter, Linda has formulated some of her own unique blends of salves, such as the Branbleberry Rose lip balm to honor her mother, while the Minted Rose and Branbleberry Rose are exclusives to Sephora. The Mocha Rose was also developed by her.

Many of the salves tend to have a sweet taste, however, the Minted Rose is not so sweet and tends to be a favorite of many.

This unique blend, “Minted Rose” is known to have a little bite to the mint, which many people learn to love. This Rosebud Salve can be used year round but is particularly popular during the winter months.

I usually use some sort of lip balm year round, whether it is a balm or petroleum jelly because I tend to have dry lips. So when I got a chance to review the Rosebud Salve, I was quite thrilled. I have to admit the mint is definitely pronounced, but it tastes great and makes your lips feel nice and soft. I also love the tin that it comes in. It has been craftily designed to look like the original tin from the early 1900’s.

The Rosebud Perfume Co. makes several different types of lip balm, such as Smith’s Rosebud Salve from 1895, Smith’s Menthol and Eucalyptus Balm, Strawberry Lip Balm, Minted Rose Lip Balm, Brambleberry Rose Lip Balm, and Mocha Rose Lip Balm. If you are looking for a source for salves and lip balms make sure you check out the Rosebud Perfume Co., after all, they could have not been in business this long if their products were not, “Simply Amazing”!

And might I add that their professionalism in both the quality of their product and customer care really stands out!
