20 Ways to Use Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves essential oil is a blend of various oils including clove, eucalyptus, cinnamon bark, rosemary and lemon. You more than likely have heard the sordid past of this oil. It seems that during the time of the Bubonic Plague, grave robbers would use this oil to protect them from the plague. Thieves oil can be used in a variety of ways and 20 of them are listed below.
Ways to Use Thieves Essential Oil
Thieves Tea– Thieves tea is great for supporting a healthy immune system. This is especially helpful during the winter months. You can easily make this tea by adding one drop of this oil and three drops of lemon oil to a mug of hot water.
Canker Sores– To get rid of canker sores, you can add a couple of drops onto a cotton swab and rub directly onto the canker sore.
Household Cleaner– It also makes a great household cleaner. All you need to do is combine one drop of oil for every ½ ounce of water into a spray bottle.
Cold and Flu– By rubbing a drop of oil onto the bottom of your feet, you can get relief from the cold or flu.
Fresh Flowers- To keep flowers fresh, just add two drops of oil to the flower water.
Air Freshener– It makes a great air freshener. Add a few drops of oil on to a cotton ball and place the cotton ball inside any room’s air vent.
Pimples– To get rid of pimples fast, add a drop of Thieves oil to any pimple.
Wounds– Dilute three drops of oil into a half a cup of water and combine well. Apply the mixture to the wound to help the wound heal faster and to prevent infection.
Toothache– It is also great to use to relieve toothache pain. Just add a drop to the affected tooth.
Headache– Take a drop of oil on the tip of your finger and apply to the roof of your mouth to relieve your headache.
Sore Throat– It is great for sore throat relief. Just add 2-3 drop of oil into a glass of water and gargle.
Dishwasher Sanitizer– Thieves oil is ideal for sanitizing your dishwasher. Add three drop of oil to your dishwasher and run a normal wash cycle.
Laundry– Add 4-5 drops of the oil to your laundry cycle to get your clothes nice and clean.
Stop Smoking– By adding a drop or two of the oil to the tip of your tongue, it can help you stop smoking.
Carpets– Add a few drop of this oil to your carpet steamer to help disinfect your carpets.
Lyme Disease– If you suffer from symptoms of Lyme disease, add a drop of oil to a glass of water and drink one glass every day.
Germs– If you are going on a plane, take a bottle of oil with you to fight germs.
Pet Wounds– For dogs and cats with infected wounds, apply a drop of the oil to help clear it up.
Bathtub Cleaner– This oil makes a great bathtub cleaner. Just combine 3-4 drops with some baking soda.
Foot Fungus– To fight foot fungus, apply a few drops of this oil to your toes and feet.
