The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown

Oh, the memories of this book! The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown is an excellent bed time story for parents to read to their little ones. It is brilliantly illustrated and is rich in verbal and pictorial imagination. The author tells a story of a mother bunny who has a little bunny who like to pretend to run away. The little bunny imagines themselves turning into several different physical things such as a tree, brook, flower, and more. I remember reading this to my children when they were young, in particular, my youngest child. She still has the book to this very day!

The Runaway Bunny

The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown was first published in 1942 and is never out of print. It is a beautiful classic bed time story that I would highly recommend. An easy-to-read, comforting, and imaginative bed time story.

I can remember that book from my own childhood. I’d all but forgotten about it but now I’ll be sharing it with my own children. Thanks for the reminding me of some happy memories.

I remember this book from when I was little as well. It is so nice to see that some of the classics are still around.

I love this book. I think we have it somewhere in this big old kids bookshelf. Now I’m on a mission to find it. If I can’t I’ll just have to buy it!
