People who like pancakes, crepes, chapati (nan, roti), tortillas, or any other type of meal in which you need a lightweight, easy to clean pan will find that the Tfal Specialty Giant Pancake Griddle makes making pancakes a breeze. This pan is excellent for making these types of dishes as it is fairly large in circumference at 14″. It is also a non-stick pan. However, I would recommend that you place a tiny drop of oil in it before you cook something in it.

Another great thing about this Tfal Specialty Giant Griddle Pan that makes it different than most other pans that you use to cook these type of dishes in them, is the fact that it has a Thermo-Spot. The Thermo-Spot is a nice feature with this pan. It basically lets you know when the pan is pre-heated. It is also safe to use in the oven, in temperatures up to 350 degrees.

It is also Ergonomic, and features a handle that stays cool to the touch. It also has a lifetime limited warranty. I would suggest that you use special utensils that are safe for non-stick pans rather than the metallic ones to help eliminate the chance of scratching the non-stick surface.

The Tfal Speciality Giant Pancake/Griddle Pan also features a low lip which makes it a whole lot easier when you need to flip the food over. It works great when you are making pancakes or a big breakfast. The cooking surface is a vast 14″ which will hold four pieces of French Toast and a couple of slices of bacon at the same time.

The only drawback with this pan, like so many others that are made today is the fact that the handle is not welded directly to the pan. It is held on with a plate and screws. Seeing this is a new pan, I have not encountered a problem with the handle becoming loose, but I do imagine that it will become loose over time as I have experienced this with pots and pans that have not had their handles welded onto the pan.

Overall, the Tfal Speciality Giant Pancake/Griddle Pan is a great addition to your cookware. It also makes a great gift for Valentine’s Day or any other time of the year for that matter. If you are looking to purchase a large size, lightweight, easy to clean, non-stick pan, I would recommend that you try this pancake/griddle pan out.
