I received a game a little while ago from USAopoly for the purpose of a product review. This blog post is a review about Telestrations-A Game for the Whole Family.

Now this game is a combination of Pictionery and Telephone. The idea behind the game is to sketch a picture and pass the picture to the next player who tries to guess what you have drawn. Here is what the box looks like that it comes in.

The game is for up to 8 players, and contains 8 erasable markers, 8 erasable Telestrations sketch books, and 200 cards that contain 6 words per side, per card that means that there is a total of 2400 words that you try to sketch out.

Fun Aplenty

In fact, the fun starts when one secret word is passed around to all the players and they sketch their own interpretation of the word. The words are sketched in the erasable books on the pages that are marked with an S for sketch, the flip side is marked with a G for guess. There also is clean up cloths, 144 two-sided word cards and, of course, a die.

The roll of the die will determine which word you have to write or draw about. The timer is set and you have to guess what the word is by the picture or draw it within that time frame and pass it on to the next person.

Telestrations, the telephone game stretched out is an enjoyable game that a family can play, and is quite popular to play a couple of rounds with friends. It is definitely an ice breaker for those awkward moments and a game that you can have fun with at a party.
