Steak Teriyaki in the Oven-Under the Broiler-Recipe

Share

Made steak teriyaki yesterday which was fairly easy to make. First off, started with 2 packages of steak and marinated them with garlic powder, white pepper, canola oil and mushroom teriyaki sauce. Set them to marinate a couple of hours. Marinating the steak not only permits the seasonings to seep into the meat but by using the oil and teriyaki sauce it will tenderize the meat as well.

After a couple of hours, I turned on the broiler on the stove. Grilled them for about 5 to 7 minutes each side. Note do not turn them with a fork, use tongs instead. Piercing the steak with a fork toughens it. Place on serving plate or in a plastic container with lid until ready to serve.

Served the steak up with whipped garlic potatoes and a vegetable medley that contained mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, onions, broccoli, and red peppers.

Seeing the steaks were rather large we will be having the remainder tonight. Tomorrow I might make some barbecued or coconut chicken in the Actifry, along with some fried rice, homemade fries or perhaps roasted potatoes.
