Sloughing off the Dead Facial Skin with Skin Peel – A Review

Share

There are many products on the market for sloughing off dead facial skin and while some might like to try this type of body treatment, many do not because it does have some form of risk. Some people do have an adverse reaction to the chemicals that are used to perform the chemical peel. Therefore, it is recommended that you seek the advice of a dermatologist before deciding on whether or not a chemical peel is right for you.

I received a package from Skin Peel the other day, and this is what the package contained; the Jessners 14% Solution, which contains SD Alcohol, Salicylic Acid,Lactic Acid, and Resorcinol.

It is recommended that you cover the areas that you do not want to peel with Vaseline. Of course, you avoid the eyes, and lips.

To be perfectly honest, I will not be doing the full skin peel. I did a small test patch and found that my skin was just too sensitive to handle the chemicals. However, some people do have success with it. I, in fact, gave this to my daughter to use and she loved it. She does not have sensitive skin so the results were much better for her.

This is what you can expect to feel when using the Jessner’s 14% Solution; you will feel like your face is sunburned as the chemicals work to dissolve the top layer of facial skin. It is recommended that you apply the solution every 2-3 weeks for peeling 1-3 layers. Those of you who wish to try it can purchase it here

As pointed out above, she did feel a slight burning when she used the skin peel for the first time. The first day is the worst because your face does get red and hot to the touch, just like a sunburn. However, it does wear off and your facial skin does definitely feel smoother and more soft. At least that is what I found out about the Skin Peel, after seeing the results and hearing the results from my daughter’s point of view.

*Disclaimer*- I received the above mentioned products for the purpose of a review. There was no other form of compensation. All opinions expressed are entirely that of mine and my daughters’.
