For those of you with cats, you just have to know that they love to groom themselves. Our kitty does and cats tend to swallow some of their hair. And after some time you are faced with a yucky mess on the floor or carpet. Cats are known to regurgitate the annoying hair ball out of their system. That is why it is important that you give them food that helps them to pass the hair through their system naturally and with little discomfort. I usually give my kitty a mixture of both wet and dry food. One of the products that I would recommend is Hill’s Science Diet for Adult Cats with Hairball Control.
Science Diet Hairball Control for Adult Cats is made with a natural fiber blend that helps control hairballs in adult cats. It also contains protein, Omega 6, and vitamin E. The vitamins and protein help to keep their coats shiny and smooth. It also has real chicken and no chicken by parts are used in the manufacturing of Hill’s Science Diet for Adult Cats-Hairball Control.
The lean proteins found inside this product help to keep their weight maintained and their muscles strong. This product is not recommended for pregnant or nursing cats. I generally mix Hills Science Diet Hairball Control together with Hill’s Science Diet Indoor Dry and also have a bowl in which I add a tablespoon of wet food, twice a day.
You can read some more information on hairballs here, but have to warn you the pictures are quite nasty!
My cat loves to eat both the wet and dry and with this combination I find that her stools are not loose nor hard. Science Diet Hairball Control for Adult Cats has eliminated the occurrence of finding hairballs in unexpected places. She is such a ham! She goes around to the doors when they are closed as speaks in a little voice until you open the door.. and did I mention that she has little mice toys that she plays with and she let’s you know she has one.. once she finishes playing with it or has it caught she makes this funny little noise and drops the play mouse on the last stair on the landing or she delightfully leaves her mousie at your bedroom door.
Such a character and a sweetie..Just love her!!!!

Glad to hear that it has helped your cat.
Baby, my little love has not done the hairball thing yet–not to say she never will! I just noticed that although still silky-her fur is dull looking–she also eats both dry and wet during the day. Maybe I will try Science Diet wet if they have one with fish oil (although strangely enough she does not like fishy smelling food).
We used to have cats and hairballs are DISGUSTING! Glad they are finding something to help. So gross.
Wow. I just got my cat a few months ago and no hairballs yet, but I never want her to get one. Thanks for sharing.
I wish we had tried this with our cat when we had them. He always had a problem with hairballs and we could never find something that helped.
I always wondered how well this actually worked. I’m going to pick up a bag next time I’m at PetSmart. Thanks for the review!
We feed our dog Science Diet, if we had a cat we would feed it the hairball control!
