  1. Steps 1-3: Add the Shea butter and coconut oil to a glass bowl.In a glass bowl. Melt in microwave for 30 seconds. Add in the beeswax and continue to heat for 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted. Step 4: Add in the Vitamin E oil. Step 5: Add in the Calendula oil. The Calendula oil is great for reducing skin irritation and inflammation. It also eases dry, cracked skin. Step 6: Add in the fennel essential oil. This is a great oil for eczema. The enzyme found at peak times of an eczema flare-up is called COX-2. Fennel has been shown to reduce this enzyme by up to 22%. It also helps reduce inflammation and promotes healing. Step 7: Add in the thyme essential oil. This oil has been shown to reduce the COX-2 enzyme by 65%!! It also helps reduce inflammation and promotes healing. Step 8: Add in the lavender essential oil. It is known to calm irritated skin and also reduces inflammation. Step 9-10: Add in the oats and mix together well. Step 11: The oats will sink to the bottom because they are heavier than the liquid. To ensure that the oats spread throughout the finished ointment, it needs to be put in the fridge for approximately 15 minutes. Blend well using a hand mixer or a whisk. Step 12: Place the mixture into your airtight container.
