Trisha Mihira of Mihira Designs has generously gifted a beautiful carved Mother-of-Pearl pendant with Turquoise bead accents to me, and a pair of Purple Sugilite and Copper Earrings to one of my readers.

Her exquisite jewelry pieces are made using sterling silver, copper and semi-precious stones and will be treasured for many years. The stones that are used in the jewelry designed by Mihira Designs are believed to have metaphysical/healing properties and the mother-of- pearl is known for its old-fashioned elegance, yet calming effect. The pendant is itself is 5 cms long and 3 cms wide.

The stone is derived from the inner layer of a mollusk shell whereas the pearl grows from the secretions of the mother-of -pearl. The turquoise stones are also known to have healing properties. They have a calming effect, remove negative energy and enhance the immune system. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Purple Sugilite is known to inspire those who wear jewelry that is made with the stones. The stones are relatively new in the gemstone category as they were recently discovered in 1944. This stone comes in varying shades and is known to instill the feeling of freedom.
