FollowPeppermint Patty Day is Feb 11th. Something about the cool taste of peppermint covered in creamy dark chocolate is simply divine. Although I generally eat these around holiday time there is nothing wrong with eating them throughout the year.

They were brought to the forefront of the candy industry by a candy company called `York`. This was in 1940; They found a unique way (at that time) to put creamy filling inside of a cool chocolate covering that did not melt in your hand.
