When you think of the word cleaning, you probably don’t think of the word fun a whole lot. Instead, you probably think to yourself that is not something you want to do. However, there are some ways in which you can make it fun and enjoyable.
Play dress up- If you have to clean, make it fun by pretending you are in a fairytale story. You can dress up as Cinderella and pretend you need to hurry and finish cleaning so you can go to the ball. Or you can dress like your favorite singer and pretend you are cleaning the house because important people are on their way to congratulate you for a great concert.
Create a theme- Creating a theme is somewhat along the lines of playing dress up. Pretend you are having some sort of theme party such as a pirate adventure. You can dress up as a pirate, talk in pirate talk and listen to the soundtrack of Hook or Shipwrecked.
Use colorful cleaning products- If you use things like bring purple cleaning gloves to clean your home, it will make things a whole lot more fun.
Treat yourself- If you are going to clean your entire home, why not have something to look forward to after you are done? You can enjoy a night out at the movies or an ice cream cone at the local ice cream parlor. You can also do things like a bubble bath and a glass of wine or order Chinese food and enjoy your favorite chick flick.
Play some great tunes- You can crank your favorite music (or wear headphones if you have neighbors close by) while you clean. Listening to music can help you get in a better mood and can get your body motivate for the tasks ahead. Heck, you can even sing and dance if you want.
