So glad I got the opportunity to speak with an awesome young designer through my many travels on the web. I had the chance to chat with this lovely lady while I was participating in a contest of sorts that she was having that ended as her plane landed. Since then we have chatted occasionally as this  young woman is busy with her studies amongst other things. We spoke of the upcoming big giveaway that I am participating in during the month of  Nov and seeing that her business did not fit the criteria (as it is now a large retail corporation), she graciously offered one of her items as a giveaway item to one of my blog readers! Guess you are all wondering just who I am speaking about? It is none other than Linz Shelton, the designer and CEO behind CUFFZ, Inc. Linz was born in California and was living in LA for a while. I am not sure of where she calls home at the present moment but has spent several years living abroad or traveling to some of the more exotic places that most of us only dream about, some to do with business and other trips for pleasure.

While touring the London club scene, Linz came up with the idea of  the Barfly, which is one of her most popular designs. The idea for this awesome clutch was spawned by the often cumbersome task of wondering just where to put your handbag while you were bopping it up on the dance floor. For those of you that are not familiar with this particular clutch, it dons a fully functional handcuff. So the Barfly was born. She donned her bag and headed back to  the club scene where she could simply cuff her bag to a convenient location and it would stay put until she was ready to move it.

Her company, CUFFZ, began as a single girl operation and she got together with her longtime friend, Kyle Eliason, and built CUFFZ to what it is today. The Barfly bag was purchased by Paris Hilton in 2004. In fact, she liked the design so much that she turned around and purchased one of every color. Since then, CUFFZ merchandise has grown to include clutches, bags, accessories, wallets, chains, a dog carrier, totes, bowling bag, keychains and necklaces.

Each and every piece of CUFFZ merchandise is outfitted with the signature trademark, a pair of handcuffs. The merchandise has been bought and used by a lot of  well known actresses and actors and others in the entertainment world. I am so glad to have had the chance to speak with this talented, charming, and creative young lady and wish her well on any future endeavors that she has down the road of life. Now on to the giveaway item. One of my lucky blog readers will be the product tester for a CUFFZ nickel plated hoop necklace. The necklace consists of a 18 inch wire hoop that is made from nickel plated steel and has a pair of miniature handcuffs hanging from the middle.
