Did You Eat Your Noodles?

In food circles, certain days are designated for particular foods. Foodies around the world try their hand at making a particular dish on that certain day. Recently there was a Noodle Day. Did you eat noodles? There are many different noodles for you to choose. Pasta noodles or egg noodles can make a lovely addition to your meals.

There are also ramen noodles. Ramen noodles are rather inexpensive. However, you should water down the little packets that come with it, as they are full of sodium. These noodles can also be eaten dry. There are regular flavors and spicy flavors as well.

There are also Chinese noodles. Chinese noodles can be broken over soup or you can make a sweet treat with chow mein noodles. Most noodle dishes such as lasagna are usually topped with a tomato-based sauce. There are also milk-based sauces. White fish or other seafood are common foods that people add to their noodles.

Another thing that some people like to top their tomato-based soups with is meats such as hamburger. Steak or other meats can also be used. It is important to add spices to the food in order for it to taste different. Chilies or Italian seasonings can add flavor to your meal.

Remember to add only enough spices to enhance the flavor, not overpower it. Pasta noodles are also eaten plain, just top with the hot noodles with butter and parmesan cheese. Taco seasoning and cheddar cheese, bacon bits and BBQ spice or BBQ sauce can be added to plain noodles for a unique flavor.

Eating noodles at least once a week can help you to stretch your food dollars. Noodles are carbohydrates and help to provide your body with energy. Try different spices and sauces to see which ones you like the best.
