A friend of mine posted this poem the other day. I happened to see it and fell it love with it immediately. I, of course, asked him if I could share it with my blog readers, and he said sure. So without further ado… Here is a poem titled “Change of Heart.” By Sam Fischer.

Change of Heart

I was just a young boy, it was love at first sight.

Life was easy. Everything was right.

But then you left and you didn’t say bye.

I was just a young boy. I started to cry.

My mom gave me comfort saying “this isnt the end”.

But you stayed in my mind.

You weren’t just a friend.

And then one day, there you appeared.

The grin on my face went from ear to ear.

You started to fall. I was there to catch you.

It was just like the very first day I had met you.

But it was the same routine as the years went on.

One day you were here and then next you were gone.

A hate grew inside me like never before.

But you always came back and would sit at my door.

You were always so clingy, never letting go!

Things have changed. Don’t you get it?
