No matter how old you get, one thing that most of us tend to remember are the wonderful characters in Disney movies. Here are some Beauty and the Beast Cupcakes that are Disney-themed. Make them for your child’s Disney themed birthday party. They will be enjoyed by the young and young at heart.

Beauty and the Beast Cupcakes-Disney Themed Cupcakes

Cupcake Recipe

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
1 cup unsalted butter, soft
1 cup whole milk

Cupcake Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line cupcake tins with paper liners.
3, Sift the flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
4. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy with a mixer.
5. Add the eggs one at a time to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing after  each addition.
6. Add the vanilla to the eggs, butter and sugar, mix well.
7. Alternate adding the flour mixture and the milk, start with the flour and end with the addition of the flour.
8. Mix well.
9. Using a large spoon scoop the batter into the lined cupcake tins until they are 3/4 filled.
10. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Frosting Recipe

1 cup unsalted butter, soft
4+cups powdered sugar
4 TBSP heavy whipping cream
Yellow gel food coloring

Frosting Directions

1. Cream the soft butter and powder sugar until light in color.
2. If it doesn’t cream add the heavy whipping cream.
3. Continue mixing but this takes a while so be patient.
4. If it doesn’t form a stiff peak add more powder sugar.
5. Be patient in order for the frosting to peak it will take several minutes.
6. Make sure that the stiff peak can hold then add 4-5 drops of the yellow gel food coloring.
7. Stir to make sure the food coloring is well mixed.
8. Fill a pastry bag with a large frosting tip with the yellow frosting.
9. Twisting the open end of the pastry bag will push the frosting to the tip.
10. Make sure the frosting is just what you wanted.
11. Frost the cupcakes.

Add a decoration of your choice to the top of each of the frosted cupcakes.
